Memorial Day weekend is the official start to vacation season in Wayne County and on Lake Cumberland. If you enjoy fishing, skiing, boating, camping, learning about the history of the area or just being in the great outdoors, Wayne County is the place to be. There is always plenty going on during the holiday weekend. The 19th Annual Woman’s Club Cornbread Festival will be held Saturday, May 26th at Historic Mill Springs Park. Arts and crafts vendors will be on site along with several food vendors to take care of the biggest appetite. Be sure to watch the grinding exhibition at the Mill at 2:00 p.m. EST on Saturday and visit the gift shop for one of a kind treasures to take back home or give to someone special.
