The Heart of Lake Cumberland Springfest 2011

On May 13 and 14, Monticello/Wayne County Memorial Park will once again be the place to be in the Lake Cumberland area. Springfest 2011 gets started on Friday May 13 and will conclude Saturday night May 14th with the headline act Molly Hatchet. Molly Hatchet is a southern rock band founded in 1975 in Jacksonville, Florida and is best known for their song “Flirtin’ with Disaster.”
Monticello/Wayne County Memorial Park will have live music all weekend featuring many local and regional acts. Entry to the event is free so come out and be a part of the excitement as the Chamber of Commerce puts on one of the biggest events of the year in the Lake Cumberland area! Lots of vendors will be on site to provide everything you could want to eat and drink while listening to great music both nights.
There will be plenty of entertainment for every age all weekend long. If you love motorcycles, be sure to ride in the Jeremy Hicks Motorcycle Ride to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Springfest will also be holding a 5K Run/Walk and 1 mile fun run. For antique car lovers, the event will host a Classic Car show and don’t forget the Kidzone and Trackless Train Rides where children of all ages can have a great time!
